Elections 2016

Another election will take hold in the Philippines for the Filipino people to choose a new leader that they believe will do good for the nation. But in the upcoming 2016 elections, are the candidates really fit to perform their roles as our leaders?

We see these familiar faces and what do we think? A bunch of people who are fighting against each other so that they can take the people's money - our money, and use it for their own good. If we really think about it, what have they really done for the nation? We hear them saying that if they are to become the president, there will be no more poverty, people will have jobs, no one will have to settle informally, everyone will be able to have education, traffic will be much better, etc. We've been hearing these things for quite a while but has there been really any change?

They buy the people's votes. Even though this is happening, we don't really do anything about it. Don't or can't? Do we really have a choice? And when we look at it, the candidates are mostly the people who have a title or are famous thinking that since they are widely known, it is relevant to vote for them. But regret it after a few years of their term. We think about the now not tomorrow. Which is wrong. Maybe today, they are polite, act like they care or that they really give a damn about the people. But what if tomorrow, after they got what they wanted, they forget what they promised and ignore us? Which what commonly happened from the previous elections. Will this term be different?

We have the choice. We have a voice. Let's use it to choose the leader that we, and the Philippines really deserve.
